QB Issue Resolution:

This means your names list is in custom sort order, usually initially caused by dragging one or more names to a new position on the customer list.

To resolve it, return your list to the standard sort order.  This is a little odd and tricky:

– Start on a bank check(!?!) and click in the Payee field, then press Ctrl-L to open the Names list.

– At the bottom of the list pick Name and then Re-sort list…

That’s it!
