QB Issue Resolution:
I tried unlocking the net pay, but when I would try to change the amount, it would always reappear. After thinking it through some more, I realized I needed to add a payroll item that was called that tax. Then I was able to choose it from the list of payroll items. After making the adjustment, it now no longer shows on my Balance Sheet.
