QB Issue Resolution:

OK, so on further investigation here are my observations.

First, having the combination of a customer with a split to an expense line, in the Make Deposit window, is a rare occurrence for me.  That’s why I had not noticed this behavior, before.  It turns out to be normal QB behavior.  I don’t like it, I think there should be a change, but it is normal.

Second, on my missing AuthID and Company Realm ID, it turns out that if your company file is password protect, and you necessarily have an Admin type user with its own pw, AuthID and Realm ID will not appear under another user.  In particular, if you make a Test Company that is not pw protected at all, you will get nothing.

So, in retrospect, I saw unusual behavior and I panicked.  Please excuse me.
