QB Issue Resolution:
If the board is inventory, when you sell it with a qty of one, the qty on hand reduces. So if you then go in and do an adjustment thing can get wonky quick
QB accepts decimal qty in the qty column, and decimals work as long as they add to one, ie .25, .50 work but .33, .42 does not
If you stock 10 each 16′ boards, and sell an 8′ piece, use 0.5 in the qty block
QBO does not have an easy way to break down that type of item.
If you ALWAYS only sell 8′ boards, an option would be to stock the 16′ as 8′ instead, so if you order 10 each 16′ boards, stock it as a qty of 20 each – if you do that then you sell a qty of one per 8′ section cut.
