QB Issue Resolution:

Currently, QuickBooks Online does not track penalties and interest. However, you can record the payments manually and edit the payment date.

Here’s how:

  1. On the left pane, select Taxes.
  2. At the top left, select the Payroll Tax tab.
  3. In the Payroll Tax Center, click Pay taxes.
  4. Find the tax you want to pay, then click the Record Payment link in the AMOUNT column.
  5. Change the Payment Date.
  6. Review the information on the payment.
  7. Click Record Payment.

I’ve added some screenshots and articles for your reference.

Also, I’d recommend consulting your accountant to provide you with more expert advice about recording your interest payments. If you need to reach out for more help, our phone agents will be able to help you get to a resolution quickly.

Stay in touch if there’s anything else I can help you with recording SUI payments. I’ll be happy to help you out.
