QB Issue Resolution:
There are other ways to update or get updates in QuickBooks. It seems to me that you’ve done the Automatic Updates (by going to the Help section to updates QuickBooks).
The second option is to download the Critical fix on the support site (http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/Support/Default.aspx?lid=SupportHome%20(SUB%20HDR).
Choose the program or QuickBooks version and download the patch. Save the patch on your desktop and follow the instructions on how to install the updates. Restart the computer and turn the computer back on. Open QB and check if the updates has been applied.
