QB Issue Resolution:
a new computer means win10
only 2015 and higher will work on win10
in the 09 version rebuild at least 3 times, then run verify, and if all is ok, make a back up from the file menu
copy the back up to a usb stick or cd
install the new version of QB on the new computer, use windows explorer to create a folder for the company file
copy the back up to that folder from the usb stick or cd, then open QB and use the menu file>open or restore, and choose restore on the next screen and navigate to the back up file
Hopefully QB will read the 09 file. If it does not then you will either have to have intuit data services upgrade the file ($$ unless you bought from intuit) or find a advisor locally who had 2011/12 installed and can open it and then make a more current back up for you, stepping it up as it were
