QB Issue Resolution:
it is a pain in QB
create a new tax item at zero %
at the bottom of the invoice select that for the customer tax code
in the body of the invoice list your items and follow with a sub total,
list the 7% tax item
if the amount is over 5K – it gets harder
use an other charge item you create, and enter the amount over 5K, follow that with the 6% tax item
scroll back up, and insert a line, use a discount item and enter the amount over 5K, set this to taxable
