QB Issue Resolution:

QuickBooks Desktop offers a feature-rich payroll service that lets you manage your employees’ wages in a few simple steps. If you wish to assign a threshold amount on the CPP and EI contributions of a specific employee, follow these steps:

  1. Select Payroll Centre
  2. Select the employee
  3. Select Payroll Info
  4. Select Taxes and TD1
  5. Uncheck the default EI and CPP
  6. Under Other taxes, create your custom deductions. Here you can assign the threshold amounts as needed.
  7. Select OK
  8. Select Save changes

Going forward, you’ll see the new deductions applied when running payroll for this employee.
