QB Issue Resolution:

QuickBooks is unable to delete the transaction linked to your item list, this will retain your books accuracy.

If you indicated a wrong sales tax item, you can replace the tax item rate. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to Vendors.
  2. Click Sales Tax then Manage Sales Tax.
  3. Select View Sales Tax Items.
  4. Double click the specified sales tax item.
  5. Change the Tax rate then hit Ok.

If a sales tax was mistakenly attached to a transaction, you can change the item code with the correct one.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to List.
  2. Select Item List.
  3. Look for Sales Tax then hit Search.
  4. Left click then hit Find.
  5. Look for Item in the Filter chart.
  6. Click Find.
  7. Double click the invoice then change the Customer Tax Code.
  8. Click Save and Close.
