QB Issue Resolution:

It is trying to use the Java to Cocoa bridge, which is something that Apple eliminated several years ago. I don’t think there is a work around unless there is a newer update to 2012 that had the registration rewritten (I know we did rewrite it, I don’t remember when).

You can try downloading a newer version of 2012 from here (if it is still available):


But for EL Capitan you really should be running Quickbooks Mac 2016. ¬†There is currently an upgrade price of about half off if you call Intuit. ¬†They may also have non-profit discounts. I don’t know.
