QB Issue Resolution:

This happens after you turn on the Multicurrency option, Denel.

We’re unable to change the currency code ZAR (South African Rand) to R (Rand). This works the same in QuickBooks Online for other countries. It’s used to distinguish between currencies with similar names or symbols. Example: Australia, Canada, United States, and other countries use the same dollar ($) symbol.

If you have transactions around the world, you can easily tell which country they’re from based on the currency codes. In addition, currency codes are used to determine the exchange rates in the global market.
