QB Issue Resolution:

The “Retained earnings” account is the one that has no register, no matter what it is Named in a specific file. This is the account QB uses to “close the year’s Net Income” for the first date of the new year, so that income and expense can start at 0 again.

A “double-entry” means something got entered twice? You can delete that entry from the “other” perspective.
