QB Issue Resolution:
You make a bank type of account for Clearing.
You make the sales receipt for the donation and “deposit” to the Clearing bank.
You use the Clearing Bank to “write check” for what they gave you.
That date and the amount means the Clearing account ends at 0, if you did this right.
This is called Donation in Kind = they gave something of value, so that value is the Donation income, as well as an expense for what you would have Bought for that same amount.
