QB Issue Resolution:

Yes, you can record your credit card charges as expenses. I’m here to help you accomplish this.

  1. Go to the Plus icon.
  2. Under Vendors, select Expense.
  3. Select a vendor and your credit card account.
  4. Enter a Payment date and a Payment method.
  5. From the CATEGORY column, choose an expense account.
  6. Enter the amount. You can add a Memo indicating that this is a credit card charges.
  7. Click Save and close.

This way, you’ll be able to record your credit card charges. In addition, I’ve included a┬ádetailed guide in creating an expense.

 

Secondly, you can pull up your Transaction List by Vendor and customize it to display only your credit card charges.

 

Let me show you how:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Under Expenses and vendors, select Transaction List by Vendor.
  3. Hit Customize.
  4. Put a checkmark for Transaction Type and then select Expense.
  5. Select Memo and then enter the same Memo you’ve entered when you create the expense for your credit card charges.
  6. Click Save and close.

Once done, this report will display all your expense transaction for your credit card charges. You can save this customized report by clicking Save Customization for easy viewing when need. After that, you find this report on the Custom reports tab when needed.
