QB Issue Resolution:

QB 2009 will probably not work on a Windows 8 computer. I suggest you upgrade to QB 2015.

On the old PC, create a backup of your file and copy the backup to a flashdrive or DVD. Copy the .qbb backup file from the flashdrive to the C drive on the new PC.

Install QB 2015 on the new PC. Open 2015 and go to File > Open or Restore > Restore from Backup. Select the C drive and find the .qbb backup file.
