QB Issue Resolution:

First – has the owner contributed inventory item been recorded anywhere in QuickBooks by either a bill, item receipt, or check?

If it has not, then you can make a Inventory Adjustment for the owner contributed inventory item. When it asks you for the Adjustment Account you can use Owner Contribution because this means that the owner bought the item and increases their equity in the company.
