QB Issue Resolution:

In QB inventory is used when it is adjusted or sold off the books, there is no reserve this qty for this customer in QB.

to show inventory is used, you need to put it on an invoice, at zero sales price if necessary, that at least allows you to enter the lot number (if any) for the flooring for the customer.  In real life it should be pulled from the bin and segregated so it is not sold, especially if lot numbers are involved.

when yo invoice for the down payment, that would be a good time to list the flooring and lot numbers if any at a zero sales price
