QB Issue Resolution:
As far as I can tell Sales Order function (like desktop version) does not exist in QuickBooks Online Plus.
In order to find a packing slip in Quickbooks Online Plus, you will have to look up the customer for whom the invoice was created (yes, need to create invoice first to see a packing slip) for under the “Customers” tab. Double click the customer. Packing slip will appear under the “Batch actions” drop-down field.
Since sales order function is not available, it will not take out inventory out of stock until actual customer invoicing. They do have “Estimate” function. Even after changing “Estimate” status to “Accepted”, it will still not take (or set aside) inventory of stock which I think is a bug (BIG one I might add) in QuickBooks Online Pus.
Only way around (I can think of) for taking inventory out of stock is to create a fictitious customer name (say Accepted Sales Order, for example) just for holding inventory method. Delete this, when actual customer invoice is created. Not a great accounting method though.
