QB Issue Resolution:

You can inactivate the account by following these steps below:

  1. Click Accounting on the left pane.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Find the account you want to inactivate.
  4. In the Action column, select Delete.
  5. Select Yes to confirm.

If you want to see the inactive account, just click the gear icon on the Chart of Accounts page. Check box for Include inactive.
