QB Issue Resolution:

Look at the two halves of each transaction. Double entry means there are two parts.  Does either of the errant banking transactions include AMEX? If it does, what should it include? If the AMEX transactions affect banking then they should not but a QB rule by default has affected it.

Choices are to delete in banking (which might delete in CC) and re-enter as appropriate or edit in place.

You are dealing with points and from what I have read points are “free” and not taxable as income – thus the chance exists that the generation of points and use by your business is owner contribution and then expense. The purchases via points should not affect the balance on the AmEx account.
