QB Issue Resolution:

Having small amounts in inventory valuation with a zero qty is wrong of course, but it is normal in QB.

In QB desktop you can fix that,
in QBO you can not.

It is a programming error, lack of foresight actually.  QB keeps average cost, even FIFO is average cost per purchase

so buy 3ea for $10, average cost is 3.3333333333

sell them and QB posts 3.33 to COGS for the each sold

valuation, 10 – (3 * 3.33) = 0.01
