QB Issue Resolution:

It looks like you caught a bug.  It is a beta feature (and Projects is new), so there are probably more bugs than usual. You can report it by clicking Gear>Feedback, where there is a Bug choice

Resolution for Issue 'I have just created Customer Types for my existing customers. In the Sales by Customer Type Detail report – my new Customer Type assignments show up okay for Invoices created after I set up the new Customer Types. But older invoices for the same customers show up with a customer type of “Not Specified”. Anyway to retroactively get the new Customer Types applied on older invoices?' available: Yes (Solved).
