QB Issue Resolution:

Hi anntmcclellan- We’re so glad you’re here in QuickBooks Online! Yes you can start your Inventory as of 1/01/2014- just click on:

1. Gear, Company Settings (see pic 1)

2. In the section called Product and Services, click on Quantity on Hand Inventory Tracking, and Save.

3. Now click on the Gear, Products and Services (see pic 2)

4. Here you either add your Product, or change it that you track Inventory for this, but put the date 1/1/2014 and enter the Quantity on Hand as of that date (see pic 3). Then you can enter Bills (to receive the product in) or enter Invoices or Sales Receipts to sell the product.
