QB Issue Resolution:
“The reports, however, do not have the option to include costs.”
That is not correct. This is what Job reports provide to you, as long as you tracked all the data correctly and specifically.
As long as you Job Tracked the cost details, you have the data you need. It just won’t be “on” the invoice, because the invoice is the Sale. It is your Purchase transactions where you job track that as a direct cost.
Are you using Two Sided Items? You set up and use these on the purchases. You mark them Billable or not, but you Job Track them. That way, you Always have Cost data, even if you have a flat Contract fee for those details.
You can even compare Est cost to Actual Cost AND Est revenue to Actual Revenue.
I will attach screenshots for you.
