QB Issue Resolution:
If I understand the situation correctly:
Open the deposit that is affected.
Enter a fake line for each account that you need to change. You can use something like a “miscellaneous” account, you don’t need a name, just be sure that the amount is the same.
When that is done, delete each line of accounts to be changed.
Save (don’t close).
Now you can open the payments or sales receipts or whatever and make the changes.
When that is done, go back to the deposit. Click the PAYMENTS button. All of the amended payments should show up again. Bring them down, then delete the fake entries, then save. This should not affect the reconciled deposit.
