QB Issue Resolution:
If you can get the statements from your bank web site I’d go ahead and reconcile from April 2013. One thing to be aware of is that you may be changing the numbers for the 2013 year (for instance if you discover that something was entered twice). This could change your tax return, if you’ve already filed it. And that can lead to a need for a revised return.
So…. if you haven’t yet filed your return for 2013 I’d definitely go ahead and reconcile all the way back. It usually doesn’t take that long if you’ve been downloading transactions.
