First off, let’s turn on the Cash Tips pay type. Here’s how:
- In your QuickBooks Online, click Workers from the left menu.
- Go to the Employees tab, then select the employee.
- In the Pay section, click the pencil icon to edit.
- Put a checkmark for Cash Tips checkbox.
- Click Done.
Once done, you can now process your payroll.
- In the Employees tab, click Run payroll.
- Select the pay schedule and enter the cash tips amount.
- Click Preview payroll, then Submit payroll.
- Hit Finish payroll.
