QB Issue Resolution:
You must enter the credit card charges first. All purchases by credit card incur a corresponding expense and increase in micro loan balance owed to the credit card company. It is important that correct dates are posted for when the cc activity occurs.
Payment on the card is just a loan payment and should not be used to record expenses. But , like all things, there is a way, albeit wrong.
To do it wrong, write check, record line items included in that payment and I certainly hope you are paying it in full but really, do it the right way
1.record expenses against credit card balance
2.reconcile account when statement is available
3. create check paying however much of balance you intend to pay
