QB Issue Resolution:
you can sell an other charge or service item as taxable, qty =1, amount = the total on the invoice no tax was collected on, then on the next line use the same line, same amount, qty = -1, and set it to non taxable
the tax will calculate on the taxable line, the negative one in the qty on the second line will cancel the sales amount and since it is non taxable only the tax will show as due on the invoice.
then either create a credit memo and apply to the invoice, or pay it from personal funds
