QB Issue Resolution:
It seems you left one or more reports open when you exited the program and did not close them, nor close the data file, first. That means, the next time you try to launch the program, that same data file will try to open and it attempts to populate those same reports.
You can do this:
Hold down CTL while launching the program. This should take you to No Company Open. This is the correct way to go in and out of the program.
Now, hold down ALT while selecting and opening the company file you want. This suppresses all open windows in that file.
Now go to the Memorized Reports list, double-click each and close them, one at a time, until you find one that will not even open a report. That is the corrupt report.
To end your work day, you use Windows menu > Close All. You wait for any pop ups. Then, you make your backup. When this is completed. use File menu > Close Company. Wait for No Company Open. Once you see that, it is safe to Exit the program.
