QB Issue Resolution:

Yes, it is possible to do the manual adjustment. However, there’s an easier way to get a fixed amount for you’re bonus paycheck. You can use the Enter net/Calculate gross feature when creating the bonus paycheck. Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Payroll Center and select Start Unscheduled Payroll.
  2. Select the employee and click Open Paycheck Detail.
  3. In the Earnings box, select your bonus payroll item.
  4. At the bottom left of the Preview Paycheck window, place a check mark for Enter net/Calculate gross.
  5. On the Check Amount field, enter the bonus amount and press the Tab key on your keyboard.

You will then have a gross amount added in the earnings box and the net of the check will be bonus amount you wanted.
