QB Issue Resolution:

Trouble communicating to the printer and reprinting are Banking activities, not Payroll. I can open any check in QB and reprint it, or mark it to Print Later, or even remove the Print Later and enter the check # that I handwrote it on.

“Instead of advancing the pay period it still shows this week’s payroll as due.”

Perhaps when you ran payroll you selected Unscheduled, or the last step is where you select Not to increment the dates.

That is a Helper tool and completely under your control. Open the Payroll Center, Edit this Schedule and Reset the date to the next cycle. It is the same concept as if you all shut down for a week at Christmas. You control this.
