QB Issue Resolution:

Yes, this is a known bug. It happens when editing and saving the paycheck as a pending check (highlighted yellow in the pay employees table) and then going back and adding sick and vacation to it.

You can avoid it by adding the sick and vacation taken the first time time you start to edit the check (without stepping off that row) or you can fix it by editing the available time on the check.

This might also be fixed in the latest patch release for 2012, and I think is fixed in 2015. So, when you upgrade in a month you’ll probably get a fix automatically.
