Enable Pop-ups in Google Chrome

If you use Google Chrome and notice that nothing happens when you click a button or link in QuickBooks Online, or if you see a message stating that pop-ups are blocked, your browser is likely preventing QuickBooks from opening necessary windows.

We recommend installing the QuickBooks Online Chrome app for the best experience. This app grants full privileges to QuickBooks, so you won’t need to adjust your browser settings manually.

  1. Go to the QuickBooks Online app page in the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Click Add to Chrome.
  3. Once installed, you can open QuickBooks Online by selecting Apps from the bookmarks bar or typing chrome://apps in your address bar.

If you prefer not to install the app, you can allow pop-ups directly in your Chrome settings:

  1. In Chrome, select the More icon (three vertical dots) in the top right corner.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. On the left menu, select Privacy and security, then select Site Settings.
  4. Scroll down to Pop-ups and redirects.
  5. Ensure the setting is set to Allowed, or select Add next to “Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects” and enter quickbooks.intuit.com and intuit.com.
  6. Refresh your browser to apply the changes.
