How to Remove the Class Drop-Down Menu From an Estimate?

To remove the Class dropdown menu from your estimates, you need to adjust your Class tracking settings in Account and Settings.

Please note that changing this setting affects your entire company file. It will remove the Class field from all transactions, including invoices, sales receipts, bills, and expenses.

Here is how to adjust the setting:

  1. Select the Settings gear icon.
  2. Select Account and settings.
  3. Select the Advanced tab.
  4. In the Categories section, select the Edit (pencil) icon.
  5. Uncheck the Track classes checkbox to turn off the feature completely.
  6. Select Save, then Done.

If you prefer to keep Class tracking active but remove the dropdown from individual lines on your estimates:

  1. Follow steps 1–4 above.
  2. Ensure Track classes is checked.
  3. In the Assign classes dropdown menu, select One to entire transaction.
  4. Select Save, then Done.

This will allow you to assign a single class to the entire estimate rather than to each line item.
