Prepaid Service Code for TurboTax Self-Employed

When tax time arrives, your QuickBooks Self‑Employed subscription includes a prepaid service code for TurboTax Self‑Employed. The code covers your federal and one state e‑file, so you won’t be charged at checkout in TurboTax.

Where to find your service code

You can locate the code as soon as you start the tax export process:

• Email: We send a confirmation email with the code after you request an export. Search your inbox for “TurboTax service code” or “QuickBooks Self‑Employed tax filing.”
• In QuickBooks Self‑Employed:
  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Self‑Employed at qbo.intuit.com.
  2. From the left navigation, select Taxes.
  3. Choose File your taxes to begin the export wizard.
  4. Your prepaid service code will be displayed on the screen before you leave QuickBooks.
• On the Billing & Subscription page:
  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper‑right corner.
  2. Under Your Company, select Billing & Subscription.
  3. Look for a TurboTax service code listed in the subscription details.
