QuickBooks Online System Requirements

QuickBooks Online is a cloud-based product, so you can access it from any computer or mobile device with a supported internet browser and an active internet connection.

Operating systems and browsers

QuickBooks Online works with the current and previous two versions of the following operating systems and browsers:

For the best experience, we recommend using the most recent version of your preferred browser. Since QuickBooks Online is a web application, we do not support Linux or specific desktop operating system versions (like Windows XP or OS X 10.5) as long as a supported browser is available.

Internet and display

Printing

To print forms and reports, you need a printer supported by your operating system. We recommend using a laser or inkjet printer; dot-matrix printers are not supported.

Most PDF viewing and printing tasks are handled directly by your web browser. If you need to view or save forms as PDFs, ensure you have a PDF viewer installed (such as Adobe Acrobat Reader or the built-in viewers in Chrome, Safari, or Edge).

Mobile access

You can also manage your business on the go with the QuickBooks Online mobile app (iOS and Android). System requirements for the mobile app can be found on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
