QB Issue Resolution:

QuickBooks Mac communicates with email programs, including Outlook, using AppleScript. Sometimes there are problems with AppleScript – QB actually tries three different methods to communicate and that has solved most of these problems. Its been a long time since I’ve heard of this not working for somebody. Sorry it isn’t!

This command clears out the launch services database, which is sometimes the trouble:
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user

But that didn’t work for you (You can also download the Onyx application, which has GUI for doing the same thing).

Here are some suggestions:
Make sure you run QuickBooks->Check For Updates and apply any updates that are available to QuickBooks.
Then check that your /Library/ScriptingAdditions and ~/Library/ScriptingAdditions folders are empty. f they aren’t, remove the items in them temporarily and then reboot. Sometimes out of date old software from Adobe or another vendor is in these directories and screws things up.
