QB Issue Resolution:

Let’s update your QuickBooks release and enable the Keep QuickBooks running for quick startup option. This will ensure you can successfully configure the software to email the schedule reports.

To disable the preference:

  1. Open the company file you’re working on.
  2. Go to the Edit menu at the top, then select Preferences.
  3.  Select General on the left panel and choose My Preferences tab.
  4. Uncheck the box for Keep QuickBooks running for quick startup.
Note: Please know this is not available in QuickBooks 2018 and later.
  5. Click on OK.

I’m attaching screenshots on how the steps should look like.

Before proceeding, make sure you’re in a single-user mode. To switch, just go to the File menu, then select Switch to Single-user Mode.

Once done, you can now start setting up the schedule report. To visually guide you through the process, follow the steps in this link and proceed to the Set up a new scheduled report.
