Account Codes: When looking at old , the are wrong. How can I go back and change account codes?

Just open the transaction & change the account code. Go in to the register & edit the transaction.

Sure. Go to Edit menu > Preferences, Accounting, if you have not already Enabled Account Codes. They are there, but you might not be seeing them.
