Advanced Search: Services and invoices disappeared

Did you save them? I had a client that entered things and never clicked save or save and new/close.  Nothing saved.  If you did, do an advanced search for the items or look in the search box for recent transactions to locate them.

Advanced Search: How do I change the deposit date after I have saved?

Here are the steps on how you can change the date of the recorded deposit:

Click the Magnifying Glass icon located in the upper-right hand corner.
Click Advanced Search.
Select Deposits from the first drop down list.
Choose Account from the second drop down list, and enter the account name.
Click Search.
Find the Deposit transaction […]

Advanced Search: advanced search button not functional

Chrome is the recommended browser, but I have more success with Firefox.  Try safari and see if it works.  I just switch it up for a day or two and then go back to my normal one and it seems to work later.  Not sure why.

Advanced Search: HOW DO I LOOK UP A POSTED JOURNAL ENTRY

Here’s how you can look for the journal entries you’ve entered in QuickBooks Online:

  1. In the upper-right corner, click the Search menu (magnifying glass icon).
  2. Click Advanced search, and choose Journal Entries as the transaction type.
  3. Click Search.
  4. Click the journal entry to view the details.

It’s easy, and just takes a couple clicks – here’s where you’ll want to go:

  1. Click on the Magnifying Glass icon at the top of the page.
  2. Click Advanced Search.
  3. Select Journal Entries in the Search box.
  4. Click Search.

Is it possible that you added your vendor as a customer by accident?  You can do an advanced search and look for the name.  Spyglass>Advanced search.
