Sorry to say but you can’t control how QuickBooks will split the customer payment.

I want to make sure that you’re getting the best help with this question.

We don’t have any control with regards to printing an OCR type of invoice since this is a third party application. What I can suggest is to contact them to further assist you with this.

Let’s try resetting the app. Here’s what you’ll need to do:

  1. Right click the Application icon and quit.
  2. Launch the application while holding the Function (Fn) key. A prompt to reset the app will appear.

Restore your OS or upgrade QB to a year version (2015, 2016) that supports El Capitan.

I think you mean the opposite of what PV explained:

Open the right bill and increase it for the total you paid.

Open the check and unlink the “other” bill; unlink and Update the application of the total to the Other bill that is the Higher amount, now. The check still is […]
