balance sheets: In the enterprise version can I assign a class to the general ledger account numbers that will then enable me to print out a financial statement for only one class.

No, Enterprise won’t do that.

However, you can filter financial statements to only include transactions recorded in specific accounts and then memorize them to run again later from the memorized reports list.

That should work for a P&L, but will probably create nonsense balance sheets.
