gear>settings>chart of accounts

you can edit an account there

if two accounts are the same type and need to be merged, change the name of one you do not want to the exact name of the other.

bookkeeper: How do I remove myself as the accountant? There is a new bookkeeper handling this account now.

Have you asked your client to remove the email address from their company? If not, there isn’t an option to remove yourself from your previous client’s company file. However, you will be able to mark this particular client as “Inactive” so that their company will no longer appear in your client list.

Have you confirmed the reconciliation they did? You likely have this entry in Twice, if one is never cleared.

bookkeeper: I have purchased Quickbooks Pro 2016 for my bookkeeper and installed it on her PC. Can I install the same copy on another users PC and still have everything work normally?

Each person needs a separate license for QB. Once you have the second license installed (and assuming that the PC’s are networked), you will need to set them up for multi users.

Please do not delete the invoices.

Get your bookkeeper or accountant to help you do an adjustment note in the current period for the incorrect amount owing and then apply the adjustment note tot he old invoice.
