California: I am not able to efile inactive 1099 contractors once I reactivated them. They are well over the $600 minimum. We are in California.

To e-file your 1099, make sure that you click on the box Track payments for 1099 in the vendor’s information.

Typically you only collect sales tax on sales you make within the state you have a business presence, store warehouse etc etc

California: When I select “Create state W2 efile” and select California in the excel sheet that comes up it says it hasn’t been updated. I’ve updated! Any tips?

This means Intuit hasn’t added CA to the feature.  In years past CA did not require or accept W-2 filings.  Has that changed?
