categorization: I have some vendors that should be labeled as customers. How do I switch their categorization from a vendor to a customer?

That is not possible in QBO.  You will have to create customers with a slightly different name (e.g., ABC Co.-C) and then delete/deactivate the vendor.

categorization: I need to allocate specific transactions from paypal in Quickbooks Online to specific categories. They all show “direct public support” and I want to change this. How?

After syncing from Paypal, the categorization is defaulted. You’ll need to log in on your PayPal account or App to update the categorization and allocate the specific transactions.
