Combining: My internal Item NAME/NUMBER vs Vendor item Name/Number. Which one?

Motor oil, unless you are combining all oil purchased in a drum after you receive it, no you would not have one item.

Combining: Combining multiple companies.

This is a great question!

Currently, the ability to merge two QuickBooks Online companies is not available.

What you can do is manually input data from one company into the other, and then unsubscribe from the company that will no longer be used.
