First, you’ll have to undo all reconciliations up to and include the one causing the problem.  (Be sure to make a backup first!)

If the difference between the statement and your balance is divisible by 9, the problem is often that you transposed numbers somewhere.

communityintuit: I received message that as of May 2018, my QB will not work with payroll on my current 2017 pro version? Is this true?

Sounds like you have QB 2015.  If so, yes, support for it is being discontinued as of May 31, 2018 (after 3 years).  To continue to use Intuit’s payroll, you will have to upgrade.
