companies: My companies fiscal year is July to June, but Quickbooks is set up with a Jan to Dec fiscal year. How do I change it?

  1. Click COMPANY > MY COMPANY.
  2. Click the EDIT pencil in the upper right.
  3. Click REPORT INFORMATION and then click on the first month of your fiscal year.
  4. Click OK.

With QBO, it is one subscription per company.  With desktop, your only limit is how much your hard drive will hold.

companies: Is there a solution to Quickbooks Pro Desktop 2014, locking up and freezing when launching or when switching companies?

QB 2014 isn’t designed to work under Windows 10 at all.  Probably the cause of this.  Many are reporting issues after the recent Windows 10 update.  Best solution when you have a modern machine is to get modern QB.

After you change the recent list to a larger number and when you then open additional files they’re added to the list.

Files don’t need to be on the recent file list to open them. You can create and use as many files as you want.
